Est 2020 we have established ourselves as Victoria biggest and most social riding group.
Victorian Ski Riders was established back in Mid 2019; the plan was to grow a community of riders that could openly ride together within the region of Victoria.
We took a welcome approach to all members, and started posting our rides and the fun we were having, which quickly engaged a lot of our followers/page members. Our merging with Florida ski riders in mid-2022 after a warm welcoming from Randy Cabrerra into the ski rider community, we became the official Vic/Victorian Ski Riders team. Meeting Randy was a pretty big turning point in the sense of making Vic Ski Riders more global like FLSR, we stood for the same core values as the FLSR team “It’s about the riders”. Communities are made of good people who want to have great experiences together. We will continue to focus our energy on building a stronger rider community for all the members.

We welcomed everyone with open arms and shared our adventures online, creating a buzz among our followers. Things really took off in mid-2022 when we teamed up with Flskirider, thanks to the warm welcome from Randy Cabrerra. This merger was a watershed moment, catapulting us onto the global stage, united by our shared passion for ski riding.
Vic Ski Riders does have a core group that founded the coming together of the riders.
We have hosted large number of rides and events; Summer and Winter Trek are 2 main events we have every year. The events take place at the popular Murray River with 2-3 days of beach camping and riding.
Most recently we introduced a welcome summer event sponsored by Peter Stevens (Ringwood) Brendan Issell. The event takes place in Rye and is one of Victorias hot spot beaches. The event was gaining a lot of traction, with over 100 confirmed participants on the day. 118 people checked in on the day and there was between 50-60 skis in and out throughout the day, which was great turnout.
Peter stevens, Jet pilot, Jet1 industries and other sponsors raffled prizes out. A total of 15 prizes where up for grabs. With a lot of smiling faces on the cash wins!
Pizzas, fish and chips and slabs of drinks showed up on the beach for all the skirider community. A truly memorable day.
People like Kevin Truong, Jason Govaars, Shane Fletcher, Yannick , John Grapsas were a pivotal part of the events success.
Had the weather kept its promise, we would have been looking at one of Victoria's largest jet ski meet and greet to date. Something to strive for in 2025.

Most of our riding takes place between November and March here in Victoria, when the weather finally warms up and the days stretch out long enough for us to make the most of every moment on the water.
Because our winters can be cold, windy and unpredictable, we squeeze in as much jetski time as possible over those precious five months, treating every weekend like an opportunity to explore, connect and enjoy the best of Port Phillip Bay.
We have a number of favourite spots we regularly return to, each offering its own unique scenery and vibe. Our typical ride begins at the Patterson River boat ramp, a large and well-equipped launching point that can comfortably handle the flow of trailers, riders and families gearing up for a big day out. From there, our group often heads toward the iconic Pillars in Mount Martha, where the clean blue waters, dramatic rock cliffs and lively atmosphere draw in boats and jetskis from all over Melbourne. It’s a place where people anchor up, swim, relax and take in the beauty of the bay.
We also love riding out from Mount Martha and cruising across the stunning stretch of Safety Beach, known for its pristine, crystal-clear, almost tropical-looking waters — the kind that make you forget you’re still in Victoria. These locations have become part of our summer rhythm, offering the perfect mix of scenery, adventure and community for every ride.

Building a positive, responsible PWC community across Victoria is at the heart of everything we do, and rider safety remains our number one priority every time we hit the water.
With Victoria’s unpredictable weather patterns, strong bay winds and busy waterways, we place a huge emphasis on riding smart, respecting marine rules, and looking out for one another as a united community.
Our group encourages every rider new or experienced to understand local regulations, maintain safe distances, keep clear communication, and always ride within their skill level, especially in high-traffic areas like Patterson River, St Kilda, Safety Beach and the Mount Martha coastline.
Just as importantly, we do not support or endorse irregular riding, unsafe behaviour or hooning of any kind within our community, as these actions put both riders and the public at risk and undermine the positive reputation we work hard to maintain.
We promote group briefings before rides, buddy systems, appropriate gear such as life jackets and safety lanyards, and routine maintenance checks to ensure every ski is operating safely and reliably.
Beyond the rules, we foster a culture where everyone supports each other helping with launch and retrieval, assisting anyone who breaks down, checking in during rough conditions, and creating an environment where riders feel welcome, confident and educated.
By combining community spirit with responsible riding practices, we aim to build a safe, respectful and enjoyable PWC culture that showcases the best of Victorian waters and protects our growing rider family for years to come.

Peter Stevens Seadoo is proud to support Vic Ski Riders and the wider rider community, celebrating the shared passion for adrenaline, adventure and the unique lifestyle that brings us together on and off the water.
Through this partnership, Peter Stevens helps fuel the spirit of connection by backing our community events, social gatherings, group rides and family-friendly meetups that keep the momentum of Vic Ski Riders strong all year round.
Their support not only enhances the experience for our members, but also strengthens the culture of camaraderie, safety and fun that defines our group.
Whether it’s turning up to our major rides, contributing prizes for raffles and giveaways, or simply being part of the vibe that makes every gathering memorable, Peter Stevens Seadoo plays a key role in helping our community grow, engage and ride forward together.

We've hosted numerous events, but our Summer and Winter Treks are the real showstoppers.
Picture this: several days of beach camping and riding along the scenic Murray River. The ride runs from Tocumwal to picnic point, and Tocumwal to Yarrawonga a 300-350km trip on both days. There is also the social aspect of Camping by the river with campfire, lamb and chicken spit, and 2-3 days of summer fun is what brings people to this event every year-round.
Fraser Island (K’Gari) - We also have a trip up to Fraser Island this year, in March 2024, to meet up with the QLD Ski Riders. An adventure on the west coast of the island exploring the warm blue waters of the island.
Moreton Island – A trip to Moreton Island, located on the gold coast in Queensland is also planned for June 2024.
Tour De Geelong is another trip we do from 3 locations, Patterson river, Mount Martha, and Altona we all meet up at the St Leonards before we take a ride with all the riders to Geelong for lunch.
So, hold onto your jet skis – Vic Ski Riders is just getting started!
When we feel more adventurous and want to explore more of the southern coastlines, three of our favorite spots are:
1. Sandy Point Wilsons Prom to Skull Rock (Cleft Island) - less visitors have set foot on this island than on the moon according to locals. The deep blue waters surrounding the rock sounding out to well over 100m deep. This is an epic adventure for those who haven’t been.
2. Port Welshpool to Refuge Cove and then to skull rock from the east coast of Wilsons Prom. Consisting of pristine white sand beaches, 3 mile beach and 5 mile beach, sealers cove onto refuge cove with camping facilities for overnight stays are available. Below refuge cove is Waterloo Bay with one of Wilsons Promontory’s cleanest beaches.
3. The Twelve Apostles, which is accessible from Apollo or the bay or the Peterborough boat ramp accommodating the steepest boat ramp in Victoria (4wd only). We venture out to the Bay of island, London Bridge, Lochard Gorge. This ride is for the more experienced rider, as the swell from the Southern Ocean can be pretty challenging.
